In this sequel to the multi-award-winningThe New Policeman, the next generation of Liddys are living in the old family home. Given JJ’s links to Aengus Óg and his fairy kin, it is perhaps not surprising that his children are somewhat eccentric, especially his eleven-year-old daughter, Jenny. She forgets to go to school, can’t bear to wear shoes, and spends most of her time up in the hills, talking to someone who isn't there.
Or perhaps there is someone there, after all. Someone who has more significance for JJ and the rest of the human race than anyone else realises.
